Hotels in Skyros Rooms to let in Skyros Accommodation & Hostels

The largest southernmost island of Sporades offers quiet, carefree and culturally enriched holidays. The ship disembarks in Linaria, Skyros’ port, which is not particularly picturesque, but it is the base for excursions by boat. Good places to stay are the seaside resorts Molos or Magazia which are just below the town of Skyros. An even better place to stay is the traditional village of Chora. Skyros is actually a live museum, with narrow winding streets and old shop houses that climb up the slope to the impressive Byzantine castle. Apart from bars and taverns that are located in the mainland you can see a large part of the actual beauty and the special architectural physiognomy of Skyros.
If you love diving then you should definitely visit the piney Northwest beaches in Agios Fokas and Kyra-Panagia or the quieter Agios Petros with the emerald waters. Pefkos and Kalamitsa that are slightly lower usually gather more people, especially in August. Aspous has shallow waters and it is a good choice for families with small children.
Try to make an exploratory trip to the mountainous southern part of the island, where the scenery resembles Cyclades - wild, precipitate with rocks in the sea. Also be sure to make the trip by boat in the remote eastern sea caves Pentekali and Diatripi, a day trip you will never forget
