With many conquerors and many remains and relics through its long history in the course of time, Mallorca is a magnificent island. It is part of the Balearic Islands and has direct connection to Spain. Surrounded by sea with many coves, sandy, pebble and rocky beaches and trees reaching the sea creating a unique ambience, Majorca is the ideal destination for your holidays.

The island of Mallorca (Majorca) has an exceptional infrastructure, with great architectural designs and many
monuments such as the Royal Palace and Bellver Castle. It also has beautiful and picturesque churches such as the Cathedral, monasteries, fortresses and museums that fascinate visitors.
There are many museums in Mallorca with collections of artifacts from previous centuries as well as masterpieces of important artists of the 19th and 20th century. Some of these museums are the Museum d'Art Espanyol Contemporani, the Museum Etnològic, the Museum Diocesà and the Museum de Mallorca.

Majorca has a cultural way of life with many festivals, jazz and modern music concerts, theatre and ballet recitals as well as operas. 
It also has many galleries, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs. Mallorca’s culinary traditions are mostly Mediterranean based on meat, fish and on the vegetables they produce on the island. Restaurants in Mallorca are not expensive and you should try some of the traditional dishes as well as some of the fine local wines.
The nightlife on the island is variable and immense. There are bars and clubs for all tastes and you can spend a night in a lounge bar drinking a cocktail in total serenity and another night dancing wildly until the first morning hours. Nightlife in Mallorca is something you will never forget.


Moreover there are many resorts and
hotels in Mallorca of all types and budgets. You have the opportunity to choose among the finest hotels and spend your holidays in comfort and relaxation. There are many resorts, luxurious hotels, cheap hotels, inns and hostels and the prices differ but the accommodation wherever you stay is excellent.
The public transportation system in Mallorca (Majorca) is quite advanced, reliable and frequent. There are also some night buses and of course many taxis. The tickets for the train and the buses are cheap and the rides are very pleasant. Besides you can always rent a car and wander around the island as you please.
Palma, the capital of Mallorca, has many direct flights with all major European cities. If you cannot find a direct flight from your city you can take a flight to Barcelona or Madrid and from there catch a cheap domestic
flight to Mallorca.


Mallorca’s beaches are famous and people from all the world travel to Mallorca in order to enjoy the sea, the sun and experience some of the many water sports on the island. The beaches in Majorca are countless and very different. There are beaches that have rocks, others that have pebbles and of course there are the ones with the white sand. Sometimes the huge pine trees reach the beach and in combination with the sea they create a wild and beautiful landscape. In some beaches there are many restaurants and bars with music as well as deckchairs and umbrellas for the sun. Of course there are many secluded beaches on the island which are a bit more difficult to reach but definitely worth the effort. Mallorca’s beaches are without doubt heaven on earth.
Another interesting occurrence in Mallorca is the fact that it has many markets operating every day of the week. The markets – mercedillos are energetic and colorful places with their own character. You can find many things to buy starting from vegetables, fruit, cheese, as well as many handmade products, clothes and accessories. There are different markets operating each day and the open early in the mornings and close early in the afternoons.
