The public transportation in Wien is excellent, the train, the bus, the tram and underground lines can transport you anywhere in the city and only in a few minutes. There are even some lines that run all night long. The ticket costs 1.7 EUR and it can be used for 1 hour.
From the airport the cheapest way to the center is the Vienna City Train Schnellbahn (S7), the duration is about 30 min and you will need to validate two tickets. There are also the Express buses that runs everyday from 05:00 to 00:00, the cost is 6 Euros for the single ticket and 11 for the return.
