Welcome to Vienna,

A wonderful tourist destination is Austria’s capital.
Vienna is a glamorous city, full of history and art but also full of music and fun. Vienna used to be the capital city of the Habsburg Empire that ruled the greatest part of Europe, but nowadays the city provides a mixture of the royal traditions and style of that period in an amazing contemporary architecture. Vienna is a famous destination due to the fact that it is bursting with historical treasures, ancient monuments and sights, cultural events, charming coffee houses and delightful little taverns and restaurants. Vienna almost has 1.5 million residents who along with the visitors enjoy the endless green that surrounds the city. Vienna’s parks are countless and together with the baroque buildings, the traditional and modern architecture, Vienna creates a unique destination for tourists and business travelers, since the town is famous for the conferences that accommodates. There are many parks and forests in Vienna. Vienna is also proud to have a very famous river, the Danube, whose banks are a lovely place for a walk as well a great place to live a romance.

There are also plenty of
Museums in the city that one day is not enough to visit all of them. Vienna’s most famous street in the inner city is “Ringstrasse” which is filled with museums such as the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Fine Arts. The city though has much more to offer, except from the parks and the museums; it has numerous of monuments and attractions. Some of the top sights of Vienna are the Hofburg, the Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Belvedere, Albertina Museum, the Secession, Prater, the University, the Parliament, the Rathaus, the Burg theatre, the State Opera, the United Nations Headquarters and the Hundertwasserhaus. Austria’s capital is also prominent as a music capital, since it has been an inspiration for all the famous musicians and composers that lived there like Mozart, Strauss, and Beethoven.

The
public transportation in Wien is excellent, the train, the bus, the tram and underground lines can transport you anywhere in the city and only in a few minutes. There are even some lines that run all night long. The ticket costs 1.7 EUR and it can be used for 1 hour.
From the airport the cheapest way to the center is the Vienna City Train Schnellbahn (S7), the duration is about 30 min and you will need to validate two tickets. There are also the Express buses that runs everyday from 05:00 to 00:00, the cost is 6 Euros for the single ticket and 11 for the return.

When visiting Vienna one should not, or let’s say must not miss the chance to try some of the local cuisine, which is well known and superb. Vienna has one of the most varied cuisines that is actually a combination of all the cultures and civilizations that have passed from the city through the years. The Viennese cuisine is really inspirational. We recommend you the
Figlmueller restaurant that  is one of the most popular in Vienna and make the best schnitzel. Located near the St. Stephen's Cathedral.

The rhythm of life in Vienna is relaxed and the Viennese people really know how to enjoy themselves since the city is full of modern restaurants, bars and of course clubs. Nightlife in Vienna can be really electrifying.
Conclusively Vienna, the capital of Austria is a beautiful place, a fresh and alive city, a cultural metropolitan area that possesses treasures from the past and qualities from the present.
